About the Role
We are looking for a Business Central / .NET Developer to join our Digital Transformation & IT team. This role is ideal for someone who can develop extensions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (On Prem) using AL, while also building and maintaining .NET applications, APIs, and integration services. You will work closely with our infrastructure, ERP, and manufacturing teams to deliver high quality solutions that improve operational efficiency, automate processes, and support our business systems.
This is a full time, permanent position based out of our Coomera office, with flexibility for some hybrid work for the right candidate. Our office hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday, however we are open to discuss earlier start times if it suitable.
What You’ll Be Doing
Business Central Development (On Prem, AL)
Develop, extend, and maintain Business Central functionality using AL Language in Visual Studio Code
Build table extensions, page extensions, code units, and event subscribers using best practice, upgrade-safe patterns
Create and maintain custom API pages and endpoints
Work with Business Central sandboxes, versioning, and deployment pipelines
Assist with ERP upgrades, environment management, and application troubleshooting
.NET / Application Development
Build backend services and internal applications in vb.NET
Implement secure communication between .NET services and Business Central (API/OData)
Maintain and enhance internal tools for operational workflows
Data & Integration Work
Design and maintain integrations between BC and external systems
Work with SQL for reporting, and analytics
Build automation scripts and utilities where required
Desired Skills and Experience
What We’re Looking For
Practical experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central On Prem
Strong experience in AL development using Visual Studio Code
Understanding of Business Central architecture, including: Table/page extensions, API pages and web service exposure, OData v4, API authentication (Basic, OAuth2, Web Service Keys)
Strong .NET backend development skills
Experience building and consuming REST APIs
SQL knowledge
Familiarity with Git, and source controlled AL projects
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to collaborate with multiple business stakeholders
Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and own solutions end-to-end
Preferably you will also have experience in the following areas:
Power Platform experience (Power Automate / Power BI)
Understanding of ERP, manufacturing, inventory
Interest in networking and network infrastructure (useful for troubleshooting end to end integrations and environment connectivity)
Comfortable with the deployment and support of hardware in factory or industrial settings
